  • No ads. No tracking across other apps or websites. No selling or renting your personal data. Ever.
  • Card details go straight to Stripe. BibleSport never receives or stores card numbers.
  • Other members see only your name, username, profile photo and skill rating on event rosters.
  • You can permanently delete your account at any time, inside the app or by emailing us.

1. Who we are

BibleSport is a ministry of Promise Ministries. The BibleSport mobile apps are published on the App Store and Google Play by Choice Information Services, Inc. on the ministry's behalf. In this policy, “BibleSport,” “we” and “us” mean Promise Ministries and Choice Information Services, Inc. operating the service together.

BibleSport is available on iOS, Android and the web at https://app.biblepickleball.com. Members sign in with their mobile number, find and register for in-person sports events (pickleball and volleyball) and Bible studies, join waitlists, pay event fees, and sign a location liability waiver.

Questions about privacy? Email choiceinc7@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect, and why

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data. Here is everything we do collect.

Account

  • Mobile number — this is how you sign in. We text you a one-time code; there are no passwords.
  • Full name and username — so organizers and other players know who is coming.
  • Email (optional) — for email notices if you want them.
  • Profile photo (optional).
  • Gender, birth date (optional) and preferred hand — used to organize events and games.
  • Zip code — to show events near you.
  • Bio (optional).

Sports

  • The sports you join and your self-rated skill level.
  • Your DUPR ID and rating, if you provide them.
  • Volleyball positions.
  • Skill ratings assigned to you by ministry staff.

Events

  • Your event registrations, waitlist position and cancellations.

Payments

  • For event fees we keep the amount, status, date and a payment reference.
  • Card details are entered into and processed by Stripe. BibleSport never receives or stores card numbers.

Liability waivers

  • Your typed name and drawn signature image.
  • The date and time you signed, and the location the waiver covers.
  • A fingerprint (hash) of the exact waiver text you signed, and the app or browser identifier used to sign it.

Text messages

  • SMS and picture messages exchanged between you and the ministry's phone number.
  • A log of automated texts we send you (confirmations, reminders and waitlist notices).

Device and usage

  • When you sign up, sign in or register for an event, we record the platform (iOS, Android or web), device model, operating system version, app version and IP address.
  • We use this for security, troubleshooting and to understand which platforms members use.

Preferences and error logs

  • Your notification preferences, and error logs that help us fix problems.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers.
  • There are no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We never sell personal data.

3. How we use it

  • Create your account and sign you in with a one-time text code.
  • Show you nearby events and manage registrations, rosters, waitlists and cancellations, including by sport and skill level.
  • Collect event fees through Stripe and keep a record of what was paid.
  • Keep a record of the liability waiver you signed.
  • Send the texts and emails you expect: sign-in codes, confirmations, reminders, cancellations and waitlist notices.
  • Keep the service secure, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems.
  • Understand, in a broad way, which platforms members use so we can improve the app.

We rely on your consent and on what is needed to provide the service you signed up for. No selling. No renting. No unrelated marketing.

4. Text messages (SMS)

When you create an account you give this consent:

I agree to receive SMS from BibleSport for one-time passcodes and account notifications (confirmations, reminders, cancellations). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing. Your number is shared only with the messaging provider that delivers our texts.

5. Who can see your information

  • Other signed-in members see only your name, username, profile photo and skill rating on event rosters.
  • Phone numbers and email addresses are visible only to ministry administrators and event organizers.
  • Members cannot message each other or post content in the app.
  • We may disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Service providers

These companies process data for us only to run the service. They may not use your data for their own marketing or profiling.

  • Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Twilio — text messages.
  • Stripe — payments.
  • Resend — email.
  • Render and Vercel — hosting.
  • Apple and Google — app distribution.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time, and deletion takes effect immediately. A few records are kept for a limited time after deletion, such as signed liability waivers. The full details are in Delete your BibleSport account below.

Account deletion

8. Delete your BibleSport account

This section explains how to delete your account in the BibleSport app, a ministry of Promise Ministries, published on the App Store and Google Play by Choice Information Services, Inc.

Delete it in the app (iOS, Android and web)

  1. Sign in to BibleSport and open the menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Session, choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm twice. Your account is deleted immediately.
Open Settings in the web app

Request deletion without the app

Email choiceinc7@gmail.com and include the mobile number on your account so we can find it and confirm the request is yours. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in, profile and profile photo.
  • Your sports and ratings.
  • Your event registrations. Upcoming spots are released to the waitlist.
  • Your in-app payment history.
  • Your waiver records in the live system.
  • Your text-message history with the ministry.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Recovery archive — up to 90 days. A private archive copy of the deleted account is kept so an accidental deletion can be investigated or recovered by request, then it is permanently purged. No one using the app, including administrators, can access this archive.
  • Signed liability waivers — 10 years after signing. Signed waivers are legal records and are retained even if the account is deleted.
  • Stripe and Twilio records. Stripe and Twilio keep their own transaction and message records as required by their legal obligations. Those records are governed by their privacy policies.
  • Backups. Routine backups may hold deleted data briefly until they rotate.

Before you delete

  • Refunds for paid events are handled by the event organizer, not automatically. Contact the organizer before deleting an account with a paid registration.
  • Administrator accounts cannot be self-deleted in the app. An administrator asks another administrator or emails us.

9. Your choices

  • Edit your profile — update or correct your information in the app at any time.
  • Stop texts — reply STOP to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help.
  • Delete your account — follow the steps above.
  • Ask us — email choiceinc7@gmail.com to ask what we have, request a correction, or request deletion.

10. Children

BibleSport is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit data for them. You must be 18 or older to create an account or sign a waiver. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited by role: members, event organizers and ministry administrators each see only what their role needs. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute protection. Report concerns to the contact email below.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, the effective date at the top will change. Significant changes will be highlighted when practical.
